If you think that applying to show ads is complicated, you are wrong. It is easy; it just takes some time. I waited for 4 weeks for Google to approve my sites. The big fat giant obviously doesn’t move very fast.
After applying and being approved for ads with Ad Network, you need to add something like a tracking code to your website, so the Ad Network will recognize it. Google will show you a message about this.
Go to WordPress settings and click on Ads.Txt.
Then go to your Google AdSense account and click on Ad units.
Then the window will appear. Choose the Display ads option.
A window will pop up. On the right, choose Responsive, and I chose Square to show in my website sidebar.
Then give a name to your new ad space.
And then hit Create in the lower right corner.
A new window will appear with a code for your ad.
Copy the code. You will need it to paste into the Custom HTML widget. After you hit Done, your new ad will show in the list below:
Now, go to the Appearance section of WordPress. Drag and drop the Custom HTML box in the Sidebar section where you want the ad to appear.
Then paste the provided Google code.
And hit Save. You are done. Now you can preview your site – your ad should be visible.
Now, with Google, you can add two more ads to have a total of three on your page. This is not very many. There are other options available to maximize earnings from your blog and get the most money per visitor.
