After a month of waiting for approval from Google AdSense, I finally got a message that everything was ready. Except for one small message:
Earnings at risk – You need to fix some ads.txt file issues to avoid severe impact on your revenue.
So, I haven’t even started earning yet and my earnings are already at risk??? Wha…? After digging around a little, I found a solution to avoid losing my earnings (that I hadn’t even started earning).
This is the easiest way to add ads.txt file to WordPress as required by Google and other advertisers.
Everything is in Settings, which is located on the left side of the WordPress dashboard.
- Go to Plugins.
- Click on Add New.
- Search for txt Managerplugin by 10up.
- Install plugin
- Activate plugin
- Go to WordPress Settings
- Click on Ads.txt
- Paste code given by Google or another ad network
- Click “Save Changes” at the bottom
That’s it. You are done.
As Google advised, “It may take a few days for changes to update.” So you better be patient before you can cash those fat checks that will be coming in 🙂
